What Happiness Means to Me

Hello to those still reading my posts and are still with me on the blogging road. It’s been an interesting journey so far. I never would have thought that I would find a place to do this kind of thing, posting random blogs or posts. But, it’s so much fun! Actually, blogging, or writing in general, has always been something that made me happy. And if you haven’t guessed from the title of this post, I want to talk about happiness.

To us humans, happiness comes in all shapes and sizes. From the tiniest trinket to something as big as a great accomplishment in our lives. Me, for example, I like to play video games and sing. My happy place is when I get to do these things. I can game for hours and be totally immersed in an imaginary world where all the cares of the world kind of just… disappears. And when I am singing, I feel the world around me just dissolve and BOOM, I am in my own world. And of course, I mentioned writing as one of the things that make me happy. Creating a world from scratch that obeys my laws and my ideas is such a great feeling! I’ve written TONS of stuff that I never get to finish. I keep getting a new idea and then leaving it. I have a serious problem with that. But every new idea that I get makes me incredibly happy and excited!

With all the technology that is available to us, it’s easy to find happiness on a small screen or in a really awesome playlist. Sometimes we take for granted all the simple pleasures that the world, even life, has to offer. You know that really great hiking trail in the woods not too far from your house? You remember that yummy food cart stand down town that you want to tell everyone about? Can you remember that feeling you got when you and your crush brushed hands by accident and had a soapy, drama-like moment where everything fades and it’s just the two of you? Or maybe you can recall or imagine the moment when you and the love of your life say “I Do” at the altar where your friends and family are just smiling and cheering? Cheesy right? But I don’t think I’m wrong. These are cause for tons of happiness! The simple stuff… Insert smiley emoji here.

I’m the type of person who finds that the little things can be pretty rewarding. Honestly, though, I’m a total weirdo. I get easily amused and all that, but I have my moments. Shoot, every day I’m on Facebook and I’m laughing at the craziest memes and videos. And you know what, it makes me quite happy. C’mon, some of you do it too. And it’s okay! You know what, in a world where bad things are increasingly happening, we make do. We gotta find the while lily that grows among all the mud.

Okay, so I’m kind of trying to butter you all up for what I really want to talk about in this post. I’ll approach this in small steps. We all want to be happy of course. But to get there, it takes action. Okay maybe someone out there is lucky enough to have happiness just drop right in front of them. But for the rest of us, we MAKE OUR OWN happiness. We must be the ones to get it for ourselves. If there’s doubt that maybe you’ll be judged for your happiness or others won’t approve, FORGET them. Cause it’s not gonna be them that’s stopping you from happiness, it’s you. And here is where I’ll tell you why I say these things. And typing this out right at this moment has gotten my heart beating so fast and I’m even trembling a little bit. But it has to be said. For the sake of my own happiness… right? So here it goes… I. Am. Gay. Yep, this was a coming out post! Many of you who already know me may not even be surprised. And for the rest of the world, THIS IS ME.

Many others before have done this kind of thing through videos. But, videos aren’t my strong suit. I’m not very photogenic, to be honest. So, why not do it in the form of a blog post? But man, it does feel good to get it off my chest. Being almost thirty years old, I thought, it was time. It was time to get my happiness. And finally admitting this is a HUGE step for me. When I was thinking about writing this post, all I really wanted to do, aside from coming out, was to get people like me, those who have been afraid or have been hiding, to come out and be themselves. And I really want all of those who read this to share the heck out of this post. It’s okay to be you. It’s your happiness on the line.

Who cares if the world judges you. You know who you are. You may lose friends… even family. It can be a very difficult moment in your life. But here’s the thing, real friends and loving family, they wont care. If anything, they’ll support you. They’ll love you. They’ll want you to be happy. Because you deserve it. Happiness is for everyone. So I encourage anyone out there who may be reading this; if you know someone or if you are wanting to come out yourself to reveal the REAL you, please be brave. Allow your happiness to show. And to those who have already stepped out into the real you, support your brothers and sisters. Let’s support each other! If we do that, we can all be happy.

So tell me, what makes you happy? What gives you happiness? Share your thoughts! And if you have any questions, ask. I’ll always be… ~ yours truly, Tim.

My Top 5 Marvel Super Heroes

Just a heads up, the post may CONTAIN SPOILERS if you haven’t seen any of the Marvel movies. AND I will ONLY be talking about those in the Avengers at this moment.

Hello guys! It’s been a while! Lots have happened since my last post. Well, not really. I have just been incredibly lazy. Like, just LAZY. Bad, I know and I’m SUPER sorry. And I just got back from my vacation in California. If you want to see what goes on in my daily life, I have an Instagram account you can follow or a Facebook page you can like and/or follow. Click HERE for Instagram. And click HERE for Facebook. I do update these more than I post on here. Again, sorry. It’s a work in progress.

Anyways, as the post title states, I am going to tell you all who my top 5 Marvel super heroes are, now that I’ve seen all the movies. AND they will just be based off of the movies. They will be in order from number five to one. AND once again, these are just based on those in the Avengers right now. So… let’s get started.

Number Five. Okay I cheated on this one. I tied this one between Iron Man and Black Panther. It was too hard to choose. I mean, Tony Stark (Iron Man) is a mad genius. T’Challa (Black Panther) is like the Marvel version of Batman. They don’t have any crazy super powers, but man the Avengers just wouldn’t be much without them. Sure, one is probably a little more humble than the other. They both do have an outstanding background. But, at the end of the day, THEY KICK BUTT.

Number Four. Thor. I’ve always liked the whole thing about being worthy to wield Mjolnir. It means that he had to work hard to be where he is now. Who doesn’t like a hero who can bring down thunder on their enemies. He’s funny and has a great sense of duty, although both can sometimes get him into trouble. I guess it’s all in how the actor portrays this character too, though. Chris Hemsworth just brought the character to life.

Number Three. Captain Marvel. She was introduced later in the series, but man, she ROCKS! She can bust down a HUGE ship in space, anything really, just by flying straight through. Her photon blasts are nuts! I mean, you don’t absorb the power of some crazy space core and not be that incredible. Although she wasn’t present for a lot of the fighting in Endgame, her short appearance made all the difference. I feel she posed the greatest threat to Thanos… with the exception of maybe Antman who, according to memes everywhere, can probably literally kill Thanos inside out. And she looks great. Go Brie Larson!

Number Two. Dr. Strange. I’m a big sucker for magic. And this guy is ALL magic. When he was first introduced, I did NOT like him. He was so arrogant and conceited. But when he learned the magical arts, I took it all back. He’s just that good. AND he has a cool cape… with a mind of its own. He really was the best out of all the sorcerers… or wizards… magical beings. And honestly, I think the biggest reason I like him IS because of the magic. Sorry Harry Potter, move aside.

Finally, number One. Scarlet Witch. This goes back to the whole magic thing. I had a really hard time between her and Dr. Strange for this spot. But she stood out to me more. The way her eyes glowed red as she tossed bad guys side to side… or the way she just commands her power with that “don’t mess with me” look. When she was killed off in Infinity Wars, I was SO SAD and MAD. But, her entrance in Endgame made me forget all that. By the way, that whole scene was EPIC. When she confronted Thanos again, I got the chills! Sure he didn’t even know who she was, but AWESOME! Don’t mess with MY GIRL! So yes, Scarlet Witch is currently my favorite!

So now, who were your favorites and why? Maybe you like them for their cool outfits or powers? Or maybe they have a great back story? Just FYI, I like ALL the Avengers. They’re all incredible and I’m sad that the series is over. Please, let me know your thoughts! Let’s connect! Yours truly ~ Tim.

My Top 5 Harry Potter Characters

Hello everyone! So today I’ve decided to put together a top five list of my favorite Harry Potter characters. I recently, finally, saw Fantastic Beats: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Now that I’ve caught up with the movies, I can now decide which characters stood out to me. There isn’t a particular order at all. It was too hard to decide. My opinions are based on the movies, NOT the books. AND FYI, there may be spoilers So here goes…

Albus Dumbledore. I couldn’t NOT put him on my list. The guy is the best wizard in the world and the owner of the Elder Wand. Not only was he the headmaster of Hogwarts, he was a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. He owns Fawkes, a phoenix that is passed down through the Dumbledore line. He’s just a witty guy and very wise. Harry, you lucked out, just saying.

Dobby the House Elf. This humble house elf appears to help warn Harry about the dangers he’ll face if he wen to Hogwarts. Then Harry releases him from the Malfoy family’s grasp with a sock. He then helps Harry later after being captured by Bellatrix’s minions. He disarms, I believe Draco’s mom’s wand. Or was it more than one witch’s wand? It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie. Correct me if I’m wrong. Unfortunately, Bellatrix takes his life right at the end. I HATED her so much for that. At least we went off with a bang.

Severus Snape. Oh yes, good ol’ professor Snape. To me, his story was the craziest of them all. Playing the bad guy… to be the good guy… you have to watch the movie or read the book to get the details. I think a lot of people admired Snape, not just me. He’s the ultimate good guy! He did everything in the end to watch over Harry, because of his love for Lily Potter. I feel like the whole double agent thing that he was doing was the greatest double agent act ever. Rest in peace to Alan Rickman, the man who portrayed Snape.

Bellatrix Lestrange. Yes I know I just mentioned earlier that I hated her, but she’s actually my favorite villain in the series. She’s crazy, bad, a psycho, and just the perfect villain. Helena Bonham Carter, I feel, portrayed Bellatrix so well. She has always been my favorite when it came to these unusual type of characters.

Luna Lovegood. I feel like Luna isn’t a popular pick because she’s weird. But I like her! I can relate somewhat to her too. I’m a bit weird. I mean these days, weird is the new normal. I admire Luna for being who she is and not worrying about what others think. And in the end, she proved to be a great ally to Harry. We can all take a page out of the book of Luna. Just be you.

Okay so those were my top five. Here are a couple honorable mentions…

Hermione Granger. I had to fight between Hermione and Luna. I like them both. Hermione is a genius and Harry was way lucky to have someone like her on his team. Without her, the story could have changed.

Molly Weasley. Mama Weasley made it onto my list. Sure she didn’t do as much as a lot of other characters in the series, but she’s the ULTIMATE mom. She takes care of her family and even took in Harry when he had nowhere to go. In a small, but maybe big way, she did have a crucial part to the story. I mean, in the end, she did kill Bellatrix. I don’t know if it’s the same in the books as in the movie. It was pretty awesome. Don’t mess with moms protecting their kids!

Alrighty, so who are your favorites and why? There are so many characters to choose from! Again these are all my choices. I would like to hear from everyone! ~~ Yours truly, Tim.

Diet. It’ll explain the importance of detoxifying the body before trying to lose weight. And it’ll tell ya what energy-rich foods will help ya burn fat faster.

Exercise. It’ll go over different types of supercharged exercises to help with the weight loss. Of course, they’re all complementary to the diet part of Red Tea Detox system.

The third section goes over the willpower, motivation, and mindset that you’ll want to have to be successful.

This whole system comes with instructions that’ll help so you don’t have to worry about what to do. Just follow along.
